Lasse-Marc Riek is the featured artist on the fourth release of an ongoing multi-disc
series called "La Rivière", where every 2 months a new piece is released based
on a location somewhere near the Taurion River in France, composed by various
sound artists.
Using a sound bank designed by Cédric Peyronnet (aka toy.bizarre), who recorded
the nuances of Taurion River and the surrounding valley (http://www.k146.org) for
3 years in Limousin, more than 20 artists offer their interpretations through a series
of sound compositions. Artists were asked to work on the composition of a sound
piece using the recordings and also by consulting the accompanying documents
sent to them.
Each release is illustrated by a photographer who also worked on the river Taurion
valley theme.
Each release is limited to anywhere between 50 to 100 copies.
