Rarities of rarities! At last the soundtrack to "The Saragossa Manuscript" (as it's
commonly known in the US) has been released on CD after only being released by Obuh
on vinyl in 2005. The film was directed by Wojciech Jerzy Has and dates back to 1965.
The soundtrack mostly features the famous Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki's early
experiments with musique concrete, plus some instrumental passages. The classical
music pieces were performed by the Polish Grand Symphony Orchestra, and piano &
organ were performed by Stanislaw Radwan.
The soundtrack was transferred from the original 35 mm master.
A great addition to any collection of rare soundtracks and/or historical electronic music.
